PHASED ARRAY ULTRASONIC TESTING

We handle inspection that requires a more custom approach. At S.Q.A.D Inspection Services, we are interested in working closely with you to provide the best solution; we help reduce cost and improve the best quality possible. We use Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing to steer and focus sound to help our technicians size indications more accurately than conventional ultrasonic testing techniques. High-speed phased array inspection can achieve thousands of measurements per second ensuring that the weld profile is 100% covered. Additionally, the same measurement that is monitoring the weld seam can test for lamination defects in the heat-affected zone.

AUTOMATED ULTRASONIC TESTING CORROSION MAPPING

We use Automated Ultrasonic Testing to determine crack detection, laminations, wall loss, and other discontinuities that may exist in base materials or welds. With Corrosion mapping, we can find out what’s inside the met. Corrosion mapping is the best way to find out if a pipe or a tank is safe to use or if it needs to be replaced or repaired. Encoded Weld Quality/Monitoring is the best to inspect new or existing welds for defects. We meet the requirements in ASME code cases 2235-9. AUT inspection supplies highly-accurate data as an important tool for implementing Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programs, Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Analysis, and remaining useful life programs. These advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection techniques are also widely-used in capital projects, turnaround scheduling/planning, and shutdown/outage projects.

PENETRANT TESTING

Our company uses a penetrant inspection method with a non-destructive test to expose defects open to the material surface. You can also use it on copper, brass, steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, carbides, magnesium, and stellate, and some plastics and ceramics. The process includes penetration of the defect by the Dye Penetrant, removal of the excess Penetrant from the surface, and development of the indication for inspection.

MAGNETIC-PARTICLE TESTING

To test ferrite magnetic material, we use Magnetic particle testing. We use this to find any surface or sub-surface defects. We use this to help determine if the defects are acceptable according to applicable standards. To test the rough surface, we use Dry particle inspection. We have qualified and trained experts who test to see if the defects are acceptable according to applicable standard codes.

VISUAL TESTING

This testing is a process where a professional person observes tanks, valves, and other equipment to make sure they are safe. The inspector will visually inspect the tank for leaks, cracks, corrosion, etc. Our inspectors inspect tanks to check for damage caused by an outside source such as a storm, earthquake, etc. Our inspectors also check for corrosion caused by an internal source such as improper storage of chemicals, etc.

TIME OF FLIGHT DIFFRACTION

Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) is a reliable method of nondestructive ultrasonic testing (UT) used to look for flaws in welds. TOFD uses the time of flight of an ultrasonic pulse to find the location of a reflector. It can also be used for weld overlays and the heat affected zones of other components as well such as piping, pressure vessels, clad material, storage tanks, and structural steel

Mechanical Integrity

API 510 /570 /653 /CWI SQAD will work cross functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams. We will perform API 510 inspections and provide oversight of RBMI programs for purposes of recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance in accordance with API standards and other industry rules and regulations. for purposes of recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance.

 The chemical manufacturing industry has not always kept pace with the rest of the refining and processing industries, due to the heavier emphasis on oil and gas-related regulation. Of course, as we know, this is due in large part to the massive, catastrophic failures associated with the oil and gas industry, and the refining and processing industry specifically.So, what about the chemical manufacturers who have been left to handle their asset integrity management programs themselves?
